A dance recital is an opportunity for dancers to showcase their hard work, skills, and routine to family and friends. Dancers dress in stage costumes and perform with their class. Recital is a special day for dancers that gives them an opportunity to dress up, feel proud, and gain confidence from their accomplishments all session. It’s truly a day they will always remember!

While we wish we could offer recital to every city and every class, please only complete registration if your instructor or a SoCa Arts team member has given you information directly. Most classes, with the exception of parent & me classes, are eligible to participate in recital.
Recital participants must be enrolled in the same class for all required sessions (September-December). If recital participants are enrolled in a class that consists of multiple consecutive sessions, proof of continued enrollment in the subsequent sessions is required to participate in the recital. It is highly recommended to secure your child’s spot in class September-December BEFORE registering for recital if possible.

Time: Showtime will be assigned at least one month prior, please reserve the day. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate any showtime requests.
Registration Instructions – the last day to register is September 30th, 2025
- Please read the Recital Waiver and Release from Liability information and the Recital Participation Policies prior to registering, as these must be agreed to during the registration process. Click here to view.
- Measure your child for their costume and select sizes. Click here for instructions.
- Costumes are NON-refundable and NON-exchangeable. You are responsible for any appropriate alterations. Dancers may grow before recital. Need help measuring? View size charts and a video tutorial by clicking the link above. Instructors may not have time to measure your dancer in class.
- Please note that costumes tend to run small, and you may wish to consider ordering one size up. Taking a costume in is easier than letting it out!
- Items such as tights, socks, and footwear, including, but not limited to, sneakers, ballet slippers, jazz shoes, and/or tap shoes, may not be included as part of the costume order, and the registered participant may need to provide such items in such colors and types as may be instructed by his or her dance instructor.

- Registration must be completed per participant per class. Students registered for multiple classes, who wish to participate in recital with all classes they are registered in, must complete registration and pay the Commitment Fee per class.

Commitment Fee
- Recital Commitment Fee is non-refundable. This one-time payment (per participant/per class) will be used to purchase a costume and/or props and accessories for the registered participant, in addition to applicable shipping and handling costs. The Recital Commitment Fee also includes a professional digital recording of the show for each family. Dancers keep their costumes once received.
- GIRLS – $89
- BOYS – $59 and provide their own top or pants (SoCa Arts will provide other costume pieces)
- Please select the GIRLS option during registration, regardless of gender identity or gender expression, if your child would prefer to wear a stereotypical girl’s costume.
- Please select the BOYS option during registration, regardless of gender identity or gender expression, if your child would prefer to wear a stereotypical boy’s costume.
- Families with siblings participating in recital can contact info@socaarts.com after completing registration for their first dancer and receive a $10 off promo code for additional sibling registration(s).
- Dancers participating in recital with more than one class can contact info@socaarts.com after completing registration for their first class and receive a $10 off promo code for additional class registration(s).
Tickets & Flowers Pre-Sale
- Tickets are $18 each and you may add 1-10 tickets to your “cart”. The ticket(s) will be honored at whichever show time your child performs.
- Tickets purchased during registration will be distributed with your child’s costume in the form of a wristband. Please keep your wristband(s) with your costume as this is your “ticket” and entry to the auditorium.
- Tickets purchased with costumes will include priority entry.
- If you choose not to purchase tickets during registration, we will open online pre-sale again approx. 4-6 weeks before the show and will have tickets available for sale on recital day.
- Your recital dancer does not need a ticket. Children ages 3 and under who sit on the lap of a paying adult do not need a ticket.
- Flowers are $8 each and you may add 1-3 flowers to your “cart”. Flowers are wrapped, individually in cellophane and tied with ribbon. Pre-purchased flowers will be available for pick-up on recital day.
- T-shirts are $25 each. Pre-purchased t-shirts will be available for pick-up on recital day.
- If you choose not to purchase a t-shirt or flower during registration, we will have them available for purchase the day of recital.
